Quixote and Rocinante's figures
I made during time in Panama (more than 40 years ago)
and this time I made 2 windmills for this table setting.
Don Quixote challenges the windmill to a figft,
believing in to be a giant.
A story about an old man from the countryside
who loses his mind after admiring "The Tales of Chivalry",
then decides to believe he is a real knight
and sets out on a journey of adventure to reform the world.
I was fascinated by him also.
I was moved very much when I saw the words
"Challenge" "Setback" and "Smile"
in the subtitle of a book.
Don Quixote is a work that is loved all over the world,
not only in literature (novel), philosophy, but also in movies,
theatre, musicals,and comics.
I searched for and bought this Lladoro Quixote and plate
when I traveled to Spain with Yoshi almost 30 years ago..
I made those plates and place plates also.
those dinner plates and pan plates are Noritake made.
